To the apostle chosen to complete the college of the Twelve, we ask fidelity to vocation and belonging to the Church.

O God, who in the midst of the Apostles chose blessed Matthias to take the place left vacant by Judas, grant us, we pray, that through his intercession we may be counted among those you chose to be a lasting inheritance for your Christ (mention your request).
Through our Lord Jesus Christ, your Son, who lives and reigns with you in the unity of the Holy Spirit, God, for ever and ever. Amen.
