Saint Veronica
Feast day: July 9
Woman of the Way of the Cross who wiped Christ's face on the road to Calvary.

Saint Veronica is remembered at the sixth station of the Way of the Cross, according to Christian devotional tradition.
Seeing Jesus walk to Calvary with his face covered in blood and sweat, she offered her veil.
Christ wiped his face on it, and the Holy Face was imprinted on the cloth — a relic venerated in Rome.
Her gesture of compassion became a model of concrete charity toward those who suffer.
Devotion to the Holy Face spread through the Church as a remembrance of Christ's consoling presence.
Her liturgical memorial is July 9. She is invoked for compassion and courage in trial.
