To the saint who wiped Christ's face on the way of the cross, we ask compassion and courage in trial.

O God, who granted blessed Veronica the grace to wipe the face of your Son on the way of the cross, grant, through her intercession, that we may see Christ in those who suffer and serve them with charity (mention your request).
Through Christ our Lord. Amen.
When to pray
On July 9 (memorial of St. Veronica), during the Way of the Cross, in times of suffering, or when seeking to imitate the compassion of one who aided the Lord.
