To the virgin martyr patroness of light and sight, we ask health of the eyes and steadfastness in faith.

O God, who gladden us by the annual solemnity of blessed Lucy, your virgin and martyr, grant, we pray, that as we honor her on earth we may see in heaven the fruit of joy that she enjoys with you (mention your request).
Through our Lord Jesus Christ, your Son, who lives and reigns with you in the unity of the Holy Spirit, God, for ever and ever. Amen.

On December 13 (feast of Saint Lucy), for those with eye ailments, before surgery, or when asking for spiritual light in faith.
