To the martyr and patron of firefighters, we ask protection from fire and courage in service to others.

Almighty, eternal God, you gave the Martyr Saint Florian the courage to lay down his life for the faith; grant through his intercession that we may live confident in your love and ready to defend our fellow men and women (mention your request).
Through our Lord Jesus Christ, your Son, who lives and reigns with you in the unity of the Holy Spirit, God, for ever and ever. Amen.

On May 4 (feast of Saint Florian), for firefighters, rescue workers, and protection of homes and communities.
