To the virgin and martyr of Catania, we ask purity, courage, and help in illness, especially of the breast.

O God, who among the marvels of your power have given even to the weaker sex the victory of martyrdom, graciously grant that we who recall the birthday of Saint Agatha, your Virgin and Martyr, may so follow in her footsteps that we may attain unto you (mention your request).
Through our Lord Jesus Christ, your Son, who lives and reigns with you in the unity of the Holy Spirit, God, for ever and ever. Amen.
When to pray
On February 5 (feast of Saint Agatha), for purity, for the sick, and in causes needing martyr's intercession.
