Capuchin mystic, abbess and contemplative, united to Christ's Passion.
Úrsula Giuliani was born on December 27, 1660, in Mercatello, Italy.
She entered the Capuchin monastery of Città di Castello and took the name Veronica.
She lived an intense mystical life, receiving the stigmata in 1697 and writing a spiritual diary.
She served as abbess and guided the sisters with humility and firmness.
She died on July 9, 1727. Canonized in 1839. Liturgical feast: July 10.
