Mexican martyr and protector of migrants — feast on February 25.

Toribio Romo Gonzalez was born in Jalisco, Mexico, in 1900, and was ordained a priest in 1925.
He shepherded with zeal during the religious persecution known as the Cristero War.
He was martyred in 1928 at only 27 years of age for defending the faith and the Church's freedom.
Beatified in 1992 and canonized in 2000, together with other Mexican martyrs.
His liturgical feast is February 25. He is invoked especially by migrants and travelers, with great devotion on the Mexico–US border.
