Saint Philip the Apostle
Feast day: May 3
Apostle called by Jesus at Capernaum — feast on May 3.

Saint Philip was from Bethsaida in Galilee and was called by Jesus shortly after Andrew and Peter.
He led Nathanael to Christ, according to John's Gospel.
At the Last Supper, he asked Jesus: «Lord, show us the Father» — and received the answer about the Son's union with the Father.
He preached the Gospel in Asia Minor and, according to tradition, suffered martyrdom.
His liturgical feast is May 3, with Saint James the Less. He is invoked for obedience to God's call.
