Saint Gabriel the Archangel
Feast day: September 29
Archangel messenger of the Annunciation — feast on September 29.

Saint Gabriel is one of the three archangels venerated by the Church, together with Michael and Raphael.
According to Luke's Gospel, he announced to the Virgin Mary that she would conceive the Son of God.
His mission as heavenly messenger makes him a model of obedience and proclamation of the good news.
Tradition also associates him with the revelations to the prophet Daniel and God's messages to his people.
His liturgical feast is September 29, with the other archangels. He is invoked for docility and clarity in mission.
