Helena Kowalska was born in 1905 in Poland and entered the Congregation of the Sisters of Our Lady of Mercy.
She received visions of Christ entrusting her with the Divine Mercy devotion, recorded in her spiritual diary.
She lived humility, obedience, and total trust in God's mercy, even in suffering.
She died in 1938 at age 33. Canonized by Saint John Paul II in 2000.
Her liturgical feast is October 5. She is invoked for trust in divine mercy and peace for the world.
