Antonio de Sant'Ana Galvao was born in Guaratingueta, Sao Paulo, Brazil, in 1739.
He entered the Franciscan order and founded the Convent of Light in Sao Paulo, dedicated to prayer and charity.
He lived humility, penance, and service to the poor and sick.
He died in 1822. Beatified in 1998 and canonized by Benedict XVI in 2007.
His liturgical feast is December 11. He is invoked for healing, peace, and trust in Providence, with great devotion in Brazil.
