To the martyred archbishop of El Salvador, we ask love for the poor and courage to proclaim the Gospel.

O God, who, through the preaching and martyrdom of blessed Oscar Romero, have renewed your Church in the Americas, grant, we pray, that all Christians may, through his intercession, be strengthened in their love of the poor and in their witness to the Gospel (mention your request).
Through our Lord Jesus Christ, your Son, who lives and reigns with you in the unity of the Holy Spirit, God, for ever and ever. Amen.

On March 24 (feast of Saint Oscar Romero), for social justice, victims of violence, and shepherds of the Church.
