To the prophet of Carmel, we ask fidelity to God and fire of the Holy Spirit.

O God, who revealed your glory to the prophet Elijah on Mount Carmel, grant, we pray, that steadfast in faith we may recognize Christ as the true God and live always in expectation of him (mention your request).
Through our Lord Jesus Christ, your Son, who lives and reigns with you in the unity of the Holy Spirit, God, for ever and ever. Amen.

On July 20 (feast of Saint Elijah), for Carmelites and spiritual renewal.
