Blessed be the Lord, the God of Israel, for he has visited and redeemed his people! (twice) 1. He has raised up a mighty savior for us in the house of his servant David, as he promised through his holy prophets from of old. 2. To save us from our enemies and from the hand of all who hate us. He has shown mercy to our fathers and remembered his holy covenant. 3. The oath he swore to Abraham our father, to grant us that, rescued from our enemies, we might serve him without fear, in holiness and righteousness before him, all the days of our life.
