Before and after meals, the Church invites us to thank God for bread and to remember those who hunger.

Bless us, O Lord, and these thy gifts, which we are about to receive from thy bounty, through Christ our Lord. Amen.

We give thee thanks, O Lord, for the bread that sustained us and the table we shared.
Grant us also the bread of eternal life.
